Mostly all application have same type of procedure to open your account.
You have your own bank account for that with linked mobile number.
Then you have your ID proof for opening account.
Then most important you need income proof or minimum 6 month bank statement copy from your bank.

If you have all these documents with you then step by step you can easily open the account. Upstox customer service may call you to help you. While this never share your confidential information with them like your bank account number, OTP, Password, etc. Overall it is not that much tough process to open the account.

You need the following documents to open a Zerodha demat account online:

  1. Your PAN card
  2. Your Aadhaar (you can open your account via the offline route if you don’t want to use your Aadhaar details)
  3. To complete the e-Sign process, you will have to authenticate it with an OTP. So, make sure you have the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar (mandatorily). If not, you will not be able to complete the process. If the number linked to your Aadhaar is inactive, or if you donโ€™t have any number linked, then you can visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra to get it updated.   6. Income proof – It is mandatory to submit income proof if you wish to trade in Futures and options โ€“ Equity, Commodity, and Currency. You can submit any one of the below documents:
    a. Form-16
    b. Income Tax Return Acknowledgment
    c. 6-month Bank statement
    d. Latest salary slip
    e. Demat holding statement, or
    f. Networth certificate from a CA

Steps to open a demat account in UpStox
